After an action-packed Sunday, the NFL Week 2 schedule comes to an end with a Monday Night Football showdown between the Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers.
This AFC North rivalry isn’t a stranger to intense matchups and tonight’s collision shouldn’t be any different.
Both sides experienced different outcomes in Week 1. The Browns have momentum on their side after their 24-3 drubbing over the Cincinnati Bengals. Meanwhile, the Steelers hope to rebound after their 30-7 blowout loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Can the Browns improve to 2-0 on the year? Or will the Steelers find a way to avoid consecutive losses at home?
This betting preview has everything you need to know ahead of tonight’s Browns vs. Steelers MNF clash, ranging from the latest odds to my favorite bets this evening.

Browns vs Steelers Week 2 MNF Preview
Normally, playing in Pittsburgh would be a death sentence for the Browns. After all, Cleveland has dropped 19 of the last 20 Browns vs. Steelers tilts played in the Steel City.
Nevertheless, this isn’t the same Cleveland team as before. The Browns looked solid against the Bengals last week, especially on defense, holding the 2022 AFC North Champions to just three points and 142 total yards.
On top of that, Cleveland held Cincinnati to a 2-of-15 (13.3%) third-down conversion rate while sacking quarterback Joe Burrow three times and intercepting him once.
Things look promising for the Browns defenders again after how the Steelers offense looked last week. Pittsburgh just couldn’t get anything going against San Francisco, averaging 3.9 yards per play while only holding the ball for 37.7% of the game.
It also didn’t help that QB Kenny Pickett finished the night with a pair of interceptions.
September just hasn’t treated the Steelers well lately. They’ve now lost five of their last six matchups in the month with a minus-9.7 averaging scoring margin along the way.
I also expect the Browns to take advantage of a Steelers defense that just surrendered 188 yards on the ground to the 49ers last week. After all, Cleveland’s backfield just racked up 206 rushing yards and a touchdown while averaging 5.2 yards per carry.
After Browns RB Nick Chubb amassed 235 scrimmage yards and a pair of TDs in two meetings against the Steelers in 2022, don’t be surprised when the visitors lean heavily on the dynamic rusher again.
A run-first mentality from Cleveland is also expected with WR Amari Cooper “unlikely” to suit up for the Browns vs. Steelers clash due to a groin injury.
Browns vs Steelers Week 2 MNF Prediction
Based on how these AFC North rivals looked last week, I’m backing the Browns to win.
The Steelers left much to be desired on both sides of the ball and I don’t see them stopping Chubb from running wild tonight. Cleveland will get off to an early lead before turning to the ground game to run out the clock.
Prediction: Browns 23, Steelers 17
Browns vs Steelers Week 2 Best Bets
Browns -2.5 (-110 on Bovada)
I’m taking the Browns to cover the spread tonight as a bet I like. After all, they went 5-1 ATS against the AFC North last season and just covered the spread against the Bengals last week.
Covering against the Steelers — who are 0-4-1 ATS in their last five Week 2 tilts — shouldn’t be an issue for the visitors.

Player Prop: Nick Chubb 90+ Rushing Yards (+100 on Bovada)
As for a Browns vs. Steelers player prop that I like, I’m going with Nick Chubb rushing for 90-plus yards at +100 odds.
For starters, the Steelers just let Christian McCaffrey rush for 152 yards last week. Now they must face Chubb, who’s made good on this prop in four of his last five games dating back to the 2022 campaign, averaging 95.6 rushing yards during that stretch.
As long as the Browns keep feeding him the ball, expect another 90-plus-yard performance from Chubb.
