See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Buffalo Bills were a dud in their opening game against the Pittsburgh Steelers, losing 23-16. After their Week 1 loss, NFL betting odds have the Bills at +1300 to win Super Bowl LVI, so the needle has not moved much on them just yet. They are still the best team in the AFC East, but the loss puts some urgency on them to step up in Miami in their Week 2 matchup against the Dolphins.
Miami got a critical road win over New England last week and grabbed the early lead in the division. It was hardly an impressive win though. Are the Dolphins actually any good? We’ll find out this week.
There is a lot more at stake in this game due to last week’s results.

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins Betting Outlook
After an offseason lauding them as a legitimate Super Bowl contender it was not a great result last week for Buffalo, losing to Pittsburgh at home. The back-breaker was a blocked punt that was returned for a touchdown, but they just seemed sleepy throughout the game.
Quarterback Josh Allen played okay and RB Devin Singletary gained some yards on the ground, but the offense lacked punch. They were just 1 for 4 in the red zone and couldn’t create many big plays. It was just one game, so there is little reason to worry yet. But that offense was not what we saw a year ago.
On defense they are were pretty good. The Bills held the Steelers to just 252 yards of total offense. Again, they couldn’t make any game-changing plays though. They sacked Ben Roethlisberger a couple of times but forced no turnovers. They were hoping to improve on the defensive side of things and so far they have it. This week, they just need to translate that improvement into positive numbers in the turnover column.
Dolphins Have Chance to Take Control of Division
The Dolphins were the only team in the AFC East to get a win, but they have to be concerned with their offense. They were significantly outgained in the game, and the jury remains out on QB Tua Tagovailoa. The Patriots are a good defensive team, but the Dolphins have to get more from their offense if they want to contend in the AFC. They are locked into Tua for now, and that might be their biggest problem.
Defensively, the Dolphins did not play well last week. They let a rookie quarterback be way too comfortable and allowed the Patriots to rush for 125 yards. If New England does not shoot themselves in the foot with penalties, Miami would have lost. Their red zone defense was the key. They only allowed the Pats to score one touchdown and that was ultimately the difference in the ballgame.

Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins Best Bets
Buffalo -3.5
It shows what the NFL betting markets really think of these teams that the Bills are still favored on the road in this spot. I agree, but I just wish we didn’t have to deal with the hook. I am looking for Buffalo to be a lot more polished in this one and avoid the mistakes that did them in last week. In my mind mind there is a big gap between these teams. Look for Buffalo to play a complete game and get an easy win on the road.
Prop Watch: Josh Allen Any Time TD Scorer +130
Allen has a great sense of the moment, and he is going to be fired up for this road tilt. If they get in close they are going to use their best short yardage weapon, his legs. He is also very capable of scampering from further out too. They may want to rush him less, but that is easier said than done.
Buffalo Bills vs Miami Dolphins Score Prediction
Buffalo Bills 31, Miami Dolphins 19
