See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Kansas City Chiefs and Las Vegas Raiders are set to collide in an NFL Week 18 matchup on Saturday, Jan. 7. Even though the Raiders’ playoff dreams were dashed with their latest loss, this game is important to the Chiefs because a win keeps them in contention for the AFC’s No. 1 seed. Needless to say, the latest Chiefs vs Raiders clash could be a doozy.
Lately, the Chiefs have continued doing what they do best: dominate. They’ve won nine of their last 10 games, as well as their last four in a row. Kansas City picked up a 27-24 win over the Denver Broncos last week, so it’ll be interesting to see if the Chiefs can keep the momentum rolling into the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Raiders fell 37-34 to the San Francisco 49ers in overtime in Week 17. The ‘Silver and Black’ have now lost three of their last four games, so they’re going to do what they can to give the fans something to cheer about before the regular season ends.
Betting News has gathered the latest Chiefs vs Raiders odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 18 game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Las Vegas Raiders Prediction and Picks
Chiefs vs Raiders Prediction: Chiefs 31, Raiders 23
Chiefs vs Raiders Picks: Chiefs -7.5 (Best Value: -115 at BetOnline) & Over 52.5 Points (Best Value: -105 at BetOnline)
With the Raiders having nothing to play for, I don’t expect them to be much of a threat to the Chiefs this weekend. After all, the former is a team missing the playoffs for the 18th time in the last 20 seasons while the latter has +400 odds (No. 2) to win Super Bowl LVII on BetMGM.
The Chiefs have also had no issues handling the Raiders over the last decade or so. Kansas City is 16-3 straight up in its last 19 games against Las Vegas, also winning six of its last seven road matchups against the Raiders.
It also helps that Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is 8-1 in nine career starts against his AFC West rival. The former Texas Tech Red Raider averaged a whopping 315.3 passing yards in those appearances, racking up 26 touchdown passes to only three interceptions. In fact, it was only back in Week 5 that Mahomes tallied 292 yards and four TDs against Las Vegas.
I also find it hard to believe that the Raiders can slow down the Chiefs, who average an NFL-high 33.0 points per game on the road. Meanwhile, Las Vegas allows 24.2 points (No. 25) and 366.7 total yards (No. 26) per game, also having just surrendered 37 points and 454 yards to the 49ers last week.
Las Vegas also doesn’t get the stops when they’re needed. The Raiders allow opponents to convert on 41.1% of third-down attempts, which ranks 10th-worst in the NFL.
Even on offense, the Raiders haven’t been playing too consistently. They’re averaging 2.0 turnovers over their last three games and while the Chiefs are only tied for the eighth-fewest takeaways (18) this season, Las Vegas has recorded at least two turnovers in five of the last six games.
When all is said and done, I expect that the Chiefs will cover the 7.5-point spread. They’re 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games against the Raiders and also own an NFL-leading plus-7.9 scoring margin on the road this season.
I’m also backing the total going over 52.5 points due to the over being hit in each of the last five Chiefs vs Raiders contests. Considering how the total went over 52.5 in each of those games and the two sides combined for 59 points in October, another high-scoring affair would be far from shocking.
