The Atlanta Falcons travel to our Nation’s Capitol to take on the Washington Commanders in a NFC battle of two surprise possible playoff contenders.
The Washington Commanders have won 5 of their last 6 games since Taylor Heinicke took over as the starting QB and that looks to be staying the same moving forward.
The story of Taylor Heinicke is one of the better stories in the NFL this season and for good reason.
He is 9-4 in his last 13 starts and has given the Commanders a jump start to their season and has made them competitive week in and week out.
The Commanders got their most recent win last week against the lowly Texans, 23-10. The defense looked great and will have a good test this week against the Falcons.
The Falcons are also right on the cusp of making some late season noise, sitting at 5-6 and 2nd in the NFC South.
The Falcons snagged a win at home last week against the pesky Bears. QB Marcus Mariota silenced some murmurs that he should be replaced by QB Desmond Ritter, by having an efficient performance and put the Falcons in a position to win.
RB and return man Cordarrelle Patterson has looked explosive since coming back from injury and he just broke the record for most Kickoff returns for Touchdowns last week with his 9th.
He is explosive, whether it be in the return game or the backfield. He will be tough to prepare for in this one and a key factor on Sunday.
In a battle of two teams who want to keep stacking wins in the NFC, who will come out on top?

Prediction
I am a firm believer in Taylor Heinicke.
He just finds ways to win and the team is behind him.
I think the Commanders do get the victory in this one but I think 4 points is too many points here.
The Falcons will keep this close and stick around and cover the points.
Best Bet
Falcons +4 (-110)
