See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe NFL Week 18 schedule has a ton of action in store for fans, including an NFC East matchup between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles. While a win or loss doesn’t mean much to New York, Philadelphia must be victorious if it wants to clinch the NFC’s No. 1 seed. In other words, this is yet another Giants vs Eagles matchup that enthusiasts of both sides won’t want to miss.
The Giants are coming off last week’s huge 38-10 win over the Indianapolis Colts. Quarterback Daniel Jones was a busy man that, day recording 177 passing yards and two touchdowns on 19-of-24 passing while also turning 11 carries into 91 rushing yards and another pair of scores.
Meanwhile, the Eagles have now lost back-to-back games for the first time this season. After losing to the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16, the Eagles couldn’t get anything going in their 20-10 loss to the New Orleans Saints. With the top spot in the division still up for grabs, Philadelphia can’t afford a similar performance this weekend.
Betting News has gathered the latest Giants vs Eagles odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 18 game.

Giants vs Eagles Prediction and Picks
Giants vs Eagles Prediction: Eagles 30, Giants 17
Giants vs Eagles Picks: Giants +14 (Best Value: -112 at BetOnline) & Over 42.5 Points (Best Value: -115 at BetOnline)
As mentioned earlier, this is essentially a meaningless game for the Giants. Whether they win or lose, they’ve already locked down the No. 6 seed in the NFC.
In other words, there’s a good chance that we won’t see a chunk of the Giants’ starters playing. Even if they do suit up, they might not even stick around for the full game. There’s just no reason to risk injury with a playoff matchup looming right around the corner.
The Eagles don’t exactly have the luxury to rest their starters. They must win to clinch the top seed in the conference, which comes with an invaluable first-round bye in the postseason. Having that extra week off could be a difference-maker in Philadelphia’s playoff run, so I expect the Eagles to treat this game the same as if it happened in the middle of the season.
The good news is that the Eagles have had a ton of success against the Giants lately. Philadelphia has won 10 of its last 12 games against New York — including a massive 48-22 blowout back in Week 14.
If that isn’t impressive on its own, the Eagles have also won eight straight home matchups, having not lost to the Giants at Lincoln Financial Field since October 2013.
Furthermore, the Eagles have outscored the Giants by an average of 11.1 points in the last eight games played in Philadelphia. Considering how the Eagles have the fifth-best scoring margin at home this season (plus-8.4), winning again shouldn’t be an issue.
Even though I expect that Jalen Hurts and the Eagles will win this Sunday, I don’t think they’ll cover the 14-point spread. Philadelphia is just 1-5 ATS in its last six games played in January, 3-6 ATS in its last nine games this season and has failed to cover the spread in six of its last 10 games against New York.
On the other hand, the Giants are at least 5-1 ATS in their last six games and 6-1 ATS on the road this season. New York also has a plus-11.0 scoring differential in its last three games, ranking fourth-best in that stretch.
Additionally, the over looks enticing when it comes to the total. Five of the last six Giants vs Eagles matchups have gone over 42.5 points, after all. With the over also being 5-2 in New York’s last seven games and 6-1 in Philadelphia’s last seven at home, I can see more points being scored than expected this Sunday.
