The Los Angeles Rams come into the 2019 season as the defending champions of the NFC, but they had a disappointing performance in the 2018 Super Bowl. The Rams high powered offense got completely shut down by the New England Patriots in that game, and they will be looking to get some revenge this season. Los Angeles didn’t need to make many moves in the offseason as they return much of the same roster from a season ago. The Rams are heavily favored to be a Super Bowl team this season, and for very good reason.
The Los Angeles Rams went 13-3 during the 2018 regular season and earned the second seed in the NFC. Los Angeles ran away with the NFC West and pulled off a stunning upset to win the NFC a season ago. The Rams were not even close to as good in betting terms, going just 9-9-1 against the spread a season ago.
Key Moves in Offseason
The Los Angeles Rams didn’t do much in the offseason, and they really didn’t have to. Los Angeles did decide to let Ndamakung Suh leave the team in the offseason, and that could have a significant impact on the defense. The Rams will also be without running back CJ Anderson after he performed so well at the end of the season for Los Angeles.

Key Players
Jared Goff: Goff threw for almost 4,700 yards during the 2018 regular season, and was one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL. Goff did struggle late in the season with his accuracy, but still only threw 12 interceptions a season ago. The Rams allowed Goff to be sacked 33 times, and they must protect their star QB this season.
Todd Gurley: Gurley finished the 2018 season with 1,251 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns. The star running back did battle through some injuries at the end of the season, and it cost him a pair of games. The Rams will need Gurley to be at or close to 100 percent this season.
Aaron Donald: Donald was the NFL Defensive Player of the Year a season ago, and was also a strong candidate to win the MVP Award. The defensive tackle had 20.5 sacks during the 2018 season and is a one-man wrecking crew on defense. Opposing teams will have to find a way to contain Donald this season.
Rookie Class: Washington safety Taylor Rapp was the first player chosen by the Los Angeles Rams in the 2019 NFL Draft, but it wasn’t until the second round. Michigan cornerback David Long was selected in the third round, and he along with Rapp have a chance to make an impact on defense immediately.

Predictions to Season/Bets to Make
The Los Angeles Rams were one of the best teams in the NFL a season ago, but the Super Bowl loss exposed some weaknesses. The Rams are going to be very good again and taking them at -180 to win the NFC West seems like a solid play. Vegas has set the win total at just 10.5 wins this season, and the Rams should go over that number as well. Stay away from the NFC Championship and Super Bowl bets at this time, because there are just too many other good teams in the NFC. Los Angeles could very well win the Super Bowl in 2019, but it won’t be easy.
