Another disappointing 2018 season cost head coach Adam Gase his job in Miami, and the Dolphins are now turning to Brian Flores to lead this squad. The Dolphins have struggled to stay relevant in recent seasons, despite being a proud NFL franchise. It doesn’t help that the Dolphins are in the same division as the New England Patriots, but they have also seen the Jets and Bills surpass them in recent seasons. This looks like one of the worst rosters in the NFL, but Dolphins fans are hoping that a new culture can help turn this team around.
The Miami Dolphins finished the 2018 season with a record of 7-9, but they did manage to have some big victories. Miami upset both the Chicago Bears and New England Patriots a season ago but also had some very disappointing losses. The Dolphins finished the 2018 season with an 8-8 record against the spread, giving bettors mixed results a season ago.
Key Moves in Offseason
The hiring of Brian Flores was the biggest move that the Dolphins made this offseason in an effort to improve their culture. The Dolphins also brought in quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick and traded for quarterback Josh Rosen, who was a former first-round draft pick of the Arizona Cardinals.
2019 Schedule
Week 1: Baltimore Ravens
Week 2: New England Patriots
Week 3: at Dallas Cowboys
Week 4: Los Angeles Chargers
Week 5: Bye
Week 6: Washington Redskins
Week 7: at Buffalo Bills
Week 8: at Pittsburgh Steelers
Week 9: New York Jets
Week 10: at Indianapolis Colts
Week 11: Buffalo Bills
Week 12: at Cleveland Browns
Week 13: Philadelphia Eagles
Week 14: at New York Jets
Week 15: at New York Giants
Week 16: Cincinnati Bengals
Week 17: at New England Patriots
Key Players
Josh Rosen: Rosen is currently listed as the backup quarterback on the depth chart, but there is no doubt that he will be the starter at some point. Rosen completed just 55 percent of his passes a season ago in Arizona as a rookie, throwing more interceptions than touchdowns.
Kenyan Drake: Drake averaged 4.5 yards per carry a season ago and is now the featured back with Frank Gore out of the picture. The running back also had 53 receptions for 477 yards and should play a huge role in the Dolphins offense this season.
Kiko Alonso: Alonso is the unquestioned leader of the Dolphins defense, leading the team with 125 tackles a season ago. The linebacker has dealt with some injuries so far through training camp, and the Dolphins will need him healthy in order to have a solid defensive unit.
Rookie Class: Defensive tackle Christian Wilkins out of Clemson was the first-round pick of the Dolphins this season. Wilkins should see plenty of action in his rookie year. Miami also selected running back Myles Gaskin out of Washington with their final pick, and he should spark the offense this season.

Predictions to Season/Best Bets to Make
Brian Flores was brought in to change the culture in Miami with the Dolphins, but that’s not going to be a quick process. Flores has a proven track record in New England, but there just isn’t much talent on this roster. The Dolphins aren’t going to be a playoff team this season, and you should stay away from all three of those prop bets listed above. Vegas has set the win total at just 4.5 wins for the Miami Dolphins this season, and that feels a little bit low. The Dolphins managed to win seven games in 2018, and they should at least be able to scratch out five wins in 2019. Bet the Miami Dolphins over 4.5 wins this season at -130 even though it’s going to be another disappointing season in South Beach.
