1. Artemi Panarin Power Play Point +115 on BetOnline:
It’s hard to argue against the New York Rangers being the best team in the NHL right now. They don’t have a perfect record with a single overtime loss. But they have been absolutely handling most teams. They have won by three or more goals in all of their wins and are tied with Winnipeg for the most goals for per game played.
The Rangers also have the 4th best power play, converting at a 31.3% rate through five games. They will take on Montreal tonight who have allowed the 10th most goals against per game. Top forward for the Rangers Artemi Panarin has been fantastic against Montreal. In his last 8 games against them he has a point in every game and 16 points. Of those 16 points 6 of them are power play points.
Montreal’s penalty kill has been strong this season, but that has largely been part of goalie Montembeault’s early heroics. The Canadiens will be without two top defensive players with Slafkovsy and top PK’er Guhle out tonight. It will be challenging for them to slow down this Rangers team, especially since they allow the 10th most power plays to opponents in the league.
Panarin has 5 power play points so far this season. Add all this up and you have the makings of an NHL best bet.

2. Owen Tippett o3.5 SOG for +105 on BetOnline:
Last season Owen Tippett was the highest volume shooter in the league. In the last 30 games he averaged 7.2 shot attempts. And while he started the season off slow, he is starting to crank up the volume.
Tippett has hit his SOG line in his last three games. He put up 13 SOG in those three games and is averaging 9.2 shot attempts this season. The Flyers just were shutout by the Vancouver Canucks so you have to image that Tippett will be ready to fling an unhealthy amount of puck on net today.
The Washington Capitals are a tough target. Tippett has only hit his SOG line three times against them in his career, but those three hits all came last season when he emerged as a top sniper. In his games against the Capitals last season he averaged 6.8 shot attempts against the Capitals. Between the game script and Tippett’s current shot rate, this is an NHL best bet.

3. Shayne Gostisbehere Point +135 on BetOnline:
The Carolina Hurricanes made many changes on their blue line this offseason. And one of those changes is really paying off. Offensive defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere has started off hot with three goals already this season. He generated two of those off the power play which will be important for this matchup.
Tonight the Hurricanes continue a long roadtrip, this time stopping in Edmonton. Gostisbehere has a good history against the Oilers with a point in three of the last six games against them. And right now the Oilers have the worst penalty kill in the league.
That means there will be ample changes for Gostisbehere to net yet another point on the power play. The Hurricanes also have the 8th best power play, converting 25% of the time. This is bad for the Oilers who are allowing the 2nd most goals against in the league. But it’s great as an NHL best bet, especially at plus money!
