Saints vs Eagles Prediction & Prop of the Game: Fly Eagles, Fly!

Happy New Years! Hope 2023 brings you everything you are needing in your life and that it treats you well.

No better way than to celebrate New Years Day than with some drama-filled football.

And there should be plenty of that on Sunday in the City of Brotherly Love.

The New Orleans Saints travel to Philly to take on the Philadelphia Eagles in a clash of two NFC foes.

The Saints’ playoff hopes are on life support, needing a lot to happen for them to creep into the dance.

On the other side, the Eagles are looking at a win and clinch the number 1 seed in the NFC situation.

With two teams fighting for either their playoff lives or to be King of the Hill, which team has the best chance to come out on top?

Here is my analysis, a game prediction and the best player prop of the game!

Will the Saints Come Marching In?

As I mentioned, its desperations time for the boys in Black and Gold.

According to ESPN, as it stands right now, the Saints have a 2.2% chance to make the playoffs.

Obviously not the percentage you are looking for but there is still that glimmer of hope.

This season has been all over the place for the Saints but even going into a tough environment in Philadelphia, they should compete and come to play.

RB Alvin Kamara is still one of the most talented backs in the league, even if he has had a down year, and the Saints defense is quietly one of the better units in the league.

Even though their season is probably done, they aren’t going to go down without a fight.

Can the Eagles Snag that #1 Spot?

It is right there for the taking.

The Eagles only need to win one of their last 2 games to seal the deal and ensure the path to the Super Bowl in the NFC will go through Philly.

Obviously life without Jalen Hurts right now…hurts. (Sorry I couldn’t resist).

But Gardener Minshew played great last week against the Cowboys but came up just short.

He showed he is more than capable to fill the Hurts’ void for another week and grab that all important one more W.

If the Eagles WIN, per ESPN, they would:

• Clinch the NFC East
• Clinch the #1 seed in the NFC, home-field advantage and the only first round BYE.

As you can see, this game means nothing for both of these teams and should be a snooze fest 😉

While I think the Saints will leave it all out on the field, this is going to be the Eagles’ day.

They are going to lock up the NFC East, the Number 1 Seed and home Field advantage in front of their home fans and set themselves up for a deep playoff run.

Gardener Minshew, AJ Brown, DeVonta Smith and the tenacious Eagles defense will get the job done and win big to start 2023 with a bang!
