The 2023 NFL season has officially hit the midway point now that the Week 9 schedule is here. Sunday’s slate is jam-packed with huge matchups, including a battle of bird teams when the Seattle Seahawks pay a visit to the Baltimore Ravens at 1 p.m. ET.
The Seahawks are looking for their third win in a row this weekend after scoring a 24-20 win over the Cleveland Browns. Meanwhile, Gus Edwards’ three-touchdown performance played a key role in the Ravens’ 31-24 victory against the Arizona Cardinals, marking Baltimore’s fourth consecutive win.
Both teams are in the upper half of Bovada’s Super Bowl LVIII odds. Seattle heads into Week 9 sitting at +4000 odds (T-No. 11) while Baltimore is available at a promising +1400 (T-No. 7).
Without wasting more time, let’s get into this Seahawks vs. Ravens betting preview, where we’ll look at the latest NFL odds, betting trends, a prediction, and my top best for this Week 9 tilt.

Seahawks vs Ravens Prediction & Best Bet — NFL Week 9
Few Week 9 matchups get bigger than this incoming clash. Not only have the Seahawks and Ravens only lost two games apiece this season, but they’re also the NFC West and AFC North division leaders, respectively.
Having said that, the Ravens have been on a roll lately. They’re 4-1 in their last five games, averaging 26.2 PPG. The defense has also been phenomenal, playing a big role in Baltimore’s plus-13.0 average scoring margin during that span.
The Seahawks have also been impressive, though. Pete Carroll’s team has five victories in the last six outings, aided by a defense that only allowed 18.0 PPG over that stretch while holding three of the last four opponents to 17 or fewer points.

Nevertheless, Seattle’s ground defense hasn’t been as strong lately. After allowing an average of 79.2 rushing yards in their first five games, the Seahawks surrendered a total of 282 with two TDs on the ground in their most recent two games.
If the visitors can’t tighten things up on the ground, this game could get out of hand. The Ravens average 143.1 rushing yards per game — third-best in the NFL — which jumps up to 147.3 at M&T Bank Stadium.
It’s going to be hard to slow down Gus Edwards and Lamar Jackson, who are both dangerous on the ground. Jackson is up to 74 carries for 380 yards and five touchdowns this season while Edwards has produced a 33-144-4 stat line in the last two games alone.
If the Seahawks fall behind, battling back will be tough. The Ravens don’t allow many opportunities to their opponents, allowing 276.5 total yards per game (No. 2) and 4.2 yards per play (No. 2).
At the end of the day, I can’t bet against the Ravens right now. Baltimore is getting elite performances on both sides of the ball and I can’t see Seattle stopping the home team’s run game. If the Ravens establish their ground attack early, the Seahawks will struggle to get back into the game.
With Seattle also being 2-5 ATS in its last seven road games and 1-6 ATS in its seven previous November tilts, let’s take Baltimore to cover the spread.
Prediction: Ravens Win
Bet: Ravens -5.5 (-115 on Bovada)
Seahawks vs Ravens Best Player Prop — NFL Week 9
Now that Seahawks vs. Ravens player props are finally available, I’m locking in a Gus Edwards anytime touchdown as the best option.
Again, Edwards has been a touchdown machine, finding the end zone four times in the last two games. He’s now up to five TDs in eight games this season, putting him one back of the career high he set across 16 contests in 2020.
With the Seahawks tied for giving up the seventh-most TDs to running backs (6), the door is open for Edwards to score again. As long as the Ravens keep putting the ball in the 28-year-old’s hands, an anytime touchdown is a real possibility.
Bet: Gus Edwards Anytime Touchdown (+100 on Bovada)
