See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe 2022 NFL season is nearly at its halfway point as we’ve reached Week 8. This week’s slate of action brings even more exciting matchups, including a showdown between the Pittsburgh Steelers and Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, Oct. 30 at 1 p.m. ET.
Despite beating the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 6, the Steelers fell back into their losing ways with a 16-10 loss to the Miami Dolphins over the weekend. Rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett had his struggles under center, throwing three interceptions on the day.
Meanwhile, the Eagles are feeling fresh after their bye week. The last time we saw them was during their 26-17 victory against the Dallas Cowboys, leaving time to tell if they can pick up where they left off to improve to 7-0.
Betting News has gathered the latest Steelers vs Eagles odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 8 game.

Pittsburgh Steelers vs Philadelphia Eagles Prediction and Picks
Steelers vs Eagles Prediction: Eagles 30, Steelers 13
Steelers vs Eagles Picks: Eagles -10.5 (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline) & Under 43.5 Points (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline)
This edition of the Battle of Pennsylvania is about as lopsided as they come. While the Eagles have soared against every opponent that they’ve faced, the Steelers have struggled to put points on the board all season long.
It doesn’t matter who’s under center: Pittsburgh has one of the NFL’s worst offense. The Steelers generate 15.3 points per game — second worst in the league — and average 298.6 total yards, ranking third-worst among all 32 teams.
In other words, it’s going to be tough for the Steelers to keep up with their opponents. The Eagles average the fifth-most yards (394.5) and fourth-most points (26.8) per game this season. They shouldn’t have much trouble outscoring a Pittsburgh offense that’s been kept to 20 or fewer points in regulation every game this season.
Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts, along with wideouts A.J. Brown and DeVonta Smith, should have a field day against the Steelers. Pittsburgh has given up an average of 307.3 passing yards over its last three games, which is second-worst in the NFL over that span.
Another thing worth pointing out is that the Steelers have turned the ball over 12 times this season (T-No. 5). Unfortunately for them, no team has more than the Eagles’ 14 takeaways this season, made up of nine interceptions and five fumble recoveries.
If Pickett starts again for the Steelers, the Eagles will be ready for some turnovers. The rookie QB has thrown at least one interception in each of his four starts thus far, adding up to seven on the season.
With the Eagles holding opponents to 17 or fewer points in four of their last five games, I have a hard time imagining the Steelers being successful this week.
Throw in the fact that Philadelphia is 5-2 against the spread in its last seven against Pittsburgh, I could see the Eagles covering as 10.5-point favorites here. Their defense and offense are miles ahead of their opponent’s units, likely resulting in a one-sided victory.
I’m also willing to take the total hitting under 43.5 points. I know that’s a low number, but the Steelers’ offense isn’t good enough to do its part. Plus, the total has hit the number in four of the last five Steelers vs Eagles meetings.
