Both the Eagles and Cowboys are trying to catch the Washington Redskins in the NFC East, and also trying to get into the playoff picture. Philadelphia has been incredibly inconsistent this season following a Super Bowl Title, but are coming off of a victory over the Jaguars two weekends ago. Dallas has lost two straight contests coming into this matchup, including a frustrating 28-14 loss to the Tennessee Titans on Monday Night Football. The Eagles are a 7.0 point favorite over the Cowboys in this game.
Prescott, Cowboys Struggling On Offense
The Dallas defense has kept the Cowboys in most games this season, allowing just 18.9 points per game. The Cowboys have given up less than 100 rushing yards per game this season, which could play a big role in this game. Defensive end DeMarcus Lawrence is playing at an elite level this season, racking up 6.5 sacks and one forced fumble this season. Dallas could use some help from their offense against the defending champions in this game.
Eagles Defense Looks Strong Again
Carson Wentz and the Eagles’ offense will get a huge boost in the form of Golden Tate for this game. The receiving corps of the Eagles have struggled to stay healthy this season, but Tate will give them another weapon. Wentz has thrown for just 1,788 yards despite completing over 70 percent of his passes this season. Philadelphia was hoping to get running back Darren Sproles back for this game, but he had a setback and is ruled out against the Cowboys. Wendell Smallwood has emerged as the top running back in Philadelphia, averaging 4.3 yards per carry on his 60 attempts.
