The Tampa Bay Buccaneers come into the 2019 season as one of the top offensive teams in football but also having one of the worst defenses. The Bucs tried to outscore all of their opponents a season ago, and it led to a brutal 5-11 record. Tampa Bay finished in fourth place in the NFC South, and they are likely to be the worst team in the division again this season. There are plenty of question marks surrounding this team.
Tampa Bay actually performed much better in terms of betting a season ago, and they are an interesting team to keep an eye on this season. The Buccaneers finished the 2018 season with a 7-7-2 record against the spread, and their quick-strike offense usually keeps them in the game.
Key Moves in Offseason
The Buccaneers made two huge moves on their defensive line in the offseason, swapping one former Pro Bowl player for another. Tampa Bay signed defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh to a one-year deal worth $10 million. The move for Suh was necessary after the Buccaneers released Pro Bowl defensive tackle Gerald McCoy after he spent nine years with the team.

Key Players
Jameis Winston: Winston had a very up-and-down 2018 season, but the Bucs are sticking with the former No. 1 overall pick. Winston threw 19 touchdowns to 14 interceptions a season ago but did complete nearly 65 percent of his passes. Winston must play better if the Bucs are going to challenge for the playoffs.
Mike Evans: Mike Evans established himself as one of the top receivers in football a season ago and is set for another monster year in 2019. Evans caught 88 passes for over 1,500 yards in 2018 and will be the top target for Winston again this season.
Ndamukong Suh: Suh comes to the Buccaneers after a largely ineffective 2018 season with the Los Angeles Rams. Suh still managed to have 4.5 sacks a season ago, but Tampa Bay is hoping that he can return to his form that made him a dominant player with the Detroit Lions.
Rookies: The Buccaneers selected linebacker Devin White with the fifth overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft. White is expected to help turn around a defense that wasn’t very good a season ago. Cornerbacks Sean Murphy-Bunting and Jamel Dean aren’t as polished as White but should see time on the field as well.

Predictions to Season/Best Bets to Make
The Buccaneers have one of the best wide receivers in football, and their offense should be great again. The problem is that Tampa Bay should be awful on defense yet again, and that just doesn’t work out well in today’s NFL. The only real bet to make on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers is on the win total, and there is no way that the Bucs win seven games. Take the under -120 on the 6.5 wins for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. It’s going to be another long year for this Buccaneers team and their fans in Tampa Bay.
