Bruins vs. Penguins Prediction: Riding with the Boston Boys (11/1/2022)

The Boston Bruins travel down the road to take on the Pittsburgh Penguins in a battle of two star-studded Eastern conference teams.
The Bruins have been flying, sitting atop of the Atlantic Division and winning 8 of their first 9 games.
They just got star winger Brad Marchand back from injury and he looked fantastic in his first game back, scoring a goal and recording an assist.
Pair that with the already outstanding play of David Pastrnk and Patrice Bergeron and their hot start is explained.
On the other side, the Penguins are limping a bit after a hot start to the season.
They are 4-4-1 but have lost 4 straight and will look to right the ship tonight at home against a high-flying Bruins squad.
Can Sid the Kid and Co. steal one at home from Patrice Bergeron and the Boston boys?

Prediction
It is hard to go against the Penguins at home here but with the value on the Bruins and how well they are playing, I can’t let that go to waste.
Brad Marchand is back again tonight and he will be fired up and read to go.
I am sure it will be a raucous crowd in PPG Paints Arena in downtown Pittsburgh and it is going to be a good one.
Give me the Bruins here to take care of business on the road.
Best Bet
Bruins ML (-104)
Props
David Pastrnak o4.5 SOGs (-104)
I love the value on Pasta today, at almost plus money.
He has been on a tear to start the season but I was a bit concerned that would slow down after Marchand returned.
It doesn’t look that way.
Pastrnak has hit his SOGs in 6 straight aways games, dating back to last season.
The Penguins allow the 7th most shots in the league and Pasta has hit his SOG mark in 2 of his last 4 matchups against the Pens, with 4 goals and 6 points.
This is probably my favorite play in this game.
Rickard Rakell o2.5 SOGs (-152)
This is too much juice for me to play individually, so I will be pairing Rakell with Vincent Trochek o2.5 SOGs from the New York Rangers to make a +153 parlay.
Rakell has been firing, especially without Jake Guentzal in the lineup. He has hit his SOGs in 5 of his last 6 and had 4+ in 3 straight games.
Guentzal is back tonight so that could shift this a little bit but Rakell has been too good to not trust in this matchup.
Enjoy this awesome hockey slate! I will be posting a full SOG article today with all of my favorite SOG targets of the day so be sure to check that out, today and all season long!
