Bruins vs. Blue Jackets Prediction: A Goal fest in Columbus (10/28)

The red hot 7-1 Boston Bruins travel to Columbus to take on the 3-5 Blue Jackets in a Friday Night clash.

The Bruins have come out flying to start the season, winning 7 of their first 8 and have looked electric on offense.

And they did it all without one of their superstars, Brad Marchand.

Marchand made his return yesterday against the Red Wings, and marked it with a goal and an assist.

The Bruins were already getting fantastic play from David Pastrnak and Captain Patrice Bergeron, so adding Marchand in the mix is going to be trouble for the rest of the league, and the Jackets tonight.

The Jackets haven’t started with the same fire that the Bruins have, only winning 3 of their first 8.

But it is early and there have been encouraging signs, especially given that star goalscorer Patrick Laine has been out and only played in 2 games.

Johnny Gaudreau has looked fantastic to start the season, and now with Laine back, we will begin to see these 2 together and what it can do for the Jackets offensively.

On a back to back, can the Bruins stay hot or will the Blue Jackets take this one on home ice?

This should be an electric hockey game to kick off the weekend.

Both of these teams are offensive minded and want to put the puck in the back of the net.

The Blue Jackets have gone over in 5 of their last 6 games and with Laine back, that should only continue here.

The Bruins have gone over in 5 of 8 to start the season.

I can see a goal fiesta in Columbus tonight. Give me the over for nice value.

I like this play regardless of Brad Marchand’s status.

I didn’t play any Bruins props yesterday in Marchand’s first game back just to see how things changed from the start of the season.

Pasta still got his shots off, ending with 4 after a suspect stat correction took a shot away.

If Marchand doesn’t play, due to the back to back and just coming back from injury, I love Pasta even more here.

He is always looking to score and has been on fire to start the season. Love the value.

Johnny Gaudreau o3.5 SOGs (+135)

I love Johnny Hockey.

He’s one of my favorite players to watch and to bet on in the NHL.

He has settled in beautifully in Columbus, scoring 5 goals and bagging 8 points from 8 games.

He has been slightly inconsistent shooting the puck, only going over 3.5 3 times, but he has cleared it in the last 3 matchups against the Bruins and I love the +135 value.

He and Laine are going to come out tonight firing to try and outpace the Bruins.
