See Picks & Statistics For The GameTuesday’s NHL action concludes with a West Coast matchup between the Vegas Golden Knights and the Los Angeles Kings. These Pacific Division foes will square off to start the season in Los Angeles and will look to start the season off on the right foot.
The Golden Knights fell apart to end the season last year and missed the playoffs because of it. Injuries plagued their entire season and inconsistent play caused them to be on the outside looking in to the playoffs.
Jack Eichel hasn’t been able to stay healthy since his high profile move from the Sabres but if he can put together a healthy campaign, he is one of the best players in hockey.
He makes the Knights a much better team when he is healthy and firing on all cylinders so his health could really determine the direction of the Knights season.
He had 8 points in three preseason games and seems to have early chemistry with Phil Kessel, who came over from the Coyotes in the offseason. If Eichel stays healthy, the Knights could be very dangerous again this year.
On the other side, the Kings finished the year strong last season and were able to make it count in the playoffs, pushing the Oilers to a game 7 in what was an awesome first round series.
They are led by a fast and electric front line, anchored by Centerman and Captian Anze Kopitar. With the offseason addition of winger Kevin Fiala to compliment Adrian Kempe and Victor Arvidsson, the Kings look even more dangerous on the offensive end.

PREDICTION
Both of these teams are going to want to start fast, for different reasons.
The Knights want to flush the bad taste out of their mouth from how last season ended and start the year with some positivity and fast play.
The Kings, on the other hand, want to build on the momentum from last season’s playoff appearance and hit the ground running (or hit the ice skating).
With most of their main offensive weapons back and the addition of Fiala, the Kings have the firepower to score in bunches.
Neither one of these goalies are world beaters, with Jonathan Quick starting for the Kings and the Knights going with Logan Thompson to replace the injured Robin Lehner.
That combined with, a healthy Eichel and Knights offense and a ready to roll Kings offense, I expect lots of goals in this one. I don’t know who is going to come out on top here so I am just going to bet on pucks in net.
BEST BET
OVER 6 (-104) FANDUEL
This should be a fun conclusion to the opening night of the NHL in the US. I talked about the RANGERS/LIGHTNING GAME as well, which should be entertaining for different reasons. New York City will open the night and Los Angeles will close it. Hockey is back.
Let’s hope for lots of goals in LA and a great night of NHL action!
