See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe Vegas Golden Knights take on the Winnipeg Jets in Game 2 of the First Round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. The Knights will be looking to even the series before heading up north after losing 5-1 in Game 1.
The Jets managed to out shoot the Knights 31-17 on their way to a statement victory. They struggled to limit shots during the regular season against this team, so making some sort of adjustment worked.
In the first two games this regular season, the Knights outshot the Jets 32-28 and 48-24. Then they only had one less shot in the last regular season meeting, 33-34. All of these resulted in Knights victories.
However, Game 1 was the first time these teams met since December 13th. That’s plenty of time for teams to completely change their tactics and strategies. It’s also worth mentioning that all three wins came with Adin Hill between the posts for VGK.

The Knights fell flat on their face in Game 1. Only producing 17 shots on goal while allowing the Jets to net 5 in front of their hometown crowd is not how they wanted to start their playoff campaign. They should have some extra fire power tonight and be hungry to even the series before traveling to Winnipeg.
Since struggling against Vegas in the regular season, it seems as if the Jets have figured out how to slow down the Golden Knights. They have outshot the Knights in the past two matchups, and we all know Vegas’ biggest weakness is their goaltending.
Golden Knights vs Jets Best Bet
Jonathan Marchessault over 2.5 SOGs (-140) FD
Jonathan Marchessault over 0.5 Point (-122) FD
I think Marchessault has a big game for the Golden Knights tonight in a must-win spot.
He hits this Shots on Goal line 65% of the time, and in 72% of games at home. Overall, he has hit this in 4/ L5, 7/ L10, and 17/ L30. At home, he’s also hit 4/ L5, 7/ L10, but 21/ L30.
He also fairs very well against the Jets, hitting in 3 of 4 against them this season. He has hit this in 4 of 6 playoff games against Winnipeg, including two games with 4 SOGs, and a game each with six and eight.
He has also had a point in 5 of those 6 playoff games against Winnipeg, including one on Tuesday’s game. He has had a point in 59% of home games this year, in 4/ L5 home games, and 7/ L10 home games.
Playing on the top line with Jack Eichel and on the 2nd PowerPlay unit, I think Marchessault is more aggressive tonight and gets us a point and 3 SOGs.
Bonus Bet?
I lean with Vegas tonight and could see them coming out and handling the Jets in regulation. You can find Knights in Regulation at -105 on BetOnline or BetOnline
