NHL Betting Preview and Best Bets (February 25): Oilers Out to Extend Streak

It’s another tasty Thursday for NHL betting, as there are ten games on tonight’s schedule to take a look at.

The Montreal Canadiens have made a coaching change, firing Claude Julien and slapping the interim tag on assistant coach Dominque Ducharme. The Canadiens take on the Winnipeg Jets tonight, seeking to end February on a more positive note than much of the month has been.

The month has been an excellent one for the Edmonton Oilers, who are the hottest team in the NHL at the moment. After beating Vancouver for their 10th win in 12 games on Tuesday, the Oilers look to double up the Canucks before heading home for a highly-anticipated three-game stretch against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

• 4. Blackhawks vs Blue Jackets UNDER: The two high-scoring games that these two have had recently make the over appealing here. But the under is the better play based on the overall body of results.
• 5. Lightning to win vs Hurricanes: The Lightning have taken the last two games against the ‘Canes and should make it three in a row tonight to officially put their recent blip behind them.
• 6. Flames vs Senators UNDER: The under is the best bet in this spot based on the frequency of unders on both sides.
