In goal, the Avalanche have one of the best goalies in the league. Alexander Georgiev was red hot this season, with 38 wins that lead the league. His 3.02 GAA and .897 save percentage wasn’t horrible but shows the Avs need to step up on defense.
Winnipeg will look to continue their success vs Colorado.

Winnipeg has come and surprised the whole league this season. Finishing 2nd in the Central Division, they were only 4 points away from being the best team in the Western Conference.
The offense for this Jets team has got the job done although not the best. They rank in the middle of the league for goals scored and shots on goal per game.
On defense though, they play a solid game. Winnipeg ranks #1 in the league for goals allowed and 11th for shots on goal allowed per game. Not committing a lot of penalties has also been a key for the Jets.
It all comes down to the guy in between the pipes for this team. Probably Vezina candidate Connor Hellebuyck will get the start tonight. He was 37-19-4 this season, finishing just behind Georgiev for most wins.

Like we talked about earlier – the playoffs are like a whole new season. We take what happened in the regular season and throw it out the window.
To be honest, I don’t think anyone expected the Jets to be as good as they are. Now’s the time to prove if they are for real or if they’re frauds. The Avalanche are a playoff team and perfect to expose whether they are for real or not.
I like experience over talent when it comes to the playoffs and that’s why we are backing the Avs. With the experience that they have, this team is for real in the playoffs.
Now is a perfect time for them to shake off the rust against the Jets from this season and pour it on. As long as the Avs can play enough defense to keep the Jets scoring to a minimum, this game is theirs to win.
I also like this game to go under. We have 2 top tier goaltenders, and the sportsbooks are recognizing that with a 5.5 goal total. The value is there for the Avalanche on the Moneyline as it is almost even money.
