The Nashville Predators continue their North of the Border road trip and look to continue their winning streak in Toronto tonight against the Maple Leafs.
Here is my game analysis, a game prediction and my Player Prop of the Game!
Predators are Rollin’
The Predators are one of the hottest teams in the NHL right now. They have won 4 straight and 5 of their last 6 games, against some of the best teams in the NHL.
The Predators beat the Capitals and the Hurricanes in this stretch, and lost in overtime to the Golden Knights.
The recent success has been due to an uptick in scoring, netting 3+ goals in 6 straight.
But the biggest factor has been the amazing play of Goaltender Juuse Saros.
In this stretch, he recorded 64 saves against the Hurricanes, which is the 3rd most in NHL history in an non-overtime game.
Saros has been simply sensational and I expect that to continue tonight against the talented Leafs in Scotiabank Arena.
No Matthews, No Problem?
The Maple Leafs aren’t as hot as the Predators but have also been playing really well the last 2 weeks.
They have won 3 of their last 5, 6 of their last 10, and are currently sitting 2nd in the Atlantic Division with 57 points.
They will be without their Superstar Auston Matthews tonight however, which you would think would be a huge issue but, not necessarily.
Obviously Matthews is a huge piece of this Leafs offense, but the Leafs were 10-3 over the past 2 season without Matthews.
Mitch Marner, William Nylander and Jon Tavares will certainly step their game up in this one and challenge the Predators and Juuse Saros early and often.
In this battle of two of the hotter teams in the NHL right now, who will grab a big win on Wednesday night?

Prediction
I like the Predators in this game to stay hot in a tough road environment tonight and it will be on the back of Juuse Saros.
Saros is absolutely dialed in right now and you just have to keep riding the hot hand between the pipes until proven otherwise.
The Leafs do just fine without Matthews, as I touched on above, but that plus the hot play of the Predators doesn’t give me confidence in the Leafs at home.
Give me the Predators on the Moneyline to get the upset in Toronto for nice plus money value.
Best Bet
Predators Moneyline (+152)
Consensus Pick
Maple Leafs Moneyline (-180)
Player Prop of the Game
William Nylander o3.5 SOGs (-128)
Nylander has been great this year, especially shooting the puck.
He has 4+ SOGs in 3 of his last 6 games, and 3+ in 5 of his last 6.
But those were all with Matthews playing. In his last 9 games over the past 2 seasons without Matthews, he has 4+ Shots on Goal in 6 games.
It is expected that Nylander will play Center tonight and will be a focal point of this offense, yet again.
