The Kraken were able to squeeze out a 5-4 victory in overtime on the road in Game 1. Joe Pavelski singlehandedly kept Dallas in the game by netting four goals of his own. The Stars were down 4-2 after the 1st but battled back and tied it up in the 3rd to force OT, only to have the Kraken win it.

Game 2 started out much slower, giving viewers a scoreless first period. But from then on, it was all Dallas.

They jumped out to a 3-1 lead after the 2nd period and ended up winning the game 4-2, outshooting the Kraken 37-27.

The first game in Seattle was also scoreless after one period, but then the Kraken took their game to another level. Three and a half minutes into the 2nd period, the Kraken found themselves up 2 to nothing. After eight minutes had gone by, they stretched that lead to 4 goals, eventually leading 5-1 going into the 2nd intermission.

Two more goals in the 3rd sealed a 7-2 dominant home victory for the Kraken.

Will they be able to do it again tonight? Or will the Stars even the series?

Prediction & Picks: Game 4

I have a play on the total, I have a play on a side, and I have a prop in this game for you tonight.

Let’s get into it.

• Phillip Grubauer Over 26.5 Saves (-120) BetOnline

Stars/Kraken Over 5.5 (-115) BetMGM

Now this one isn’t rocket science. These two teams have played each other six times this year, and all six games have gone over this number. In fact, these teams have cleared this number with ease. Only one game has seen a total of six goals. We’ve had two with seven total goals, and three games with nine.

In six matchups, neither team has had less than 25 SOGs in a contest, and they both average more around the 30-32 mark. I like lots of offense in this game tonight and would roll with the over at this price.

Stars in Regulation (+120) BetMGM

I know what you’re thinking, “In Regulation, again?” Just hear me out.

It goes without saying that the Stars need to win this game. Going back home down 3-1 would be deflating, where as stealing this game and being tied 2-2 might give the locker room new energy.

We have seen three of the six matchups go in OT this year, but I’d rather take the plus money then lay the juice on a short ML.

Phillip Grubauer Over 26.5 Saves (-120) BetOnline

I like the Stars to pepper the net tonight with their backs against the wall. I think Grubby might let in a few, but I think Dallas will generate enough shots to get us to this number.

The Stars have averaged 30.67 SOGs per game against the Kraken this season, however that number is up to 33 during the three playoff games.

As stressed earlier, Dallas needs this win and should be doing their best to let it fly on net this evening. I think we see a highly offensive game this evening.
