Panthers vs Hurricanes Series Preview
In three games this year, the Canes hold a 2-1 record over the Panthers, and were able to shut them out at home. This year, the Canes are 3-2 in the playoffs on the road, which is a step up from last season’s 0-6 away playoff record.
Carolina has done well this playoff, despite missing a few key players. They’ve been able to take down two very good hockey teams, and have advanced to face a Florida team who also has their fair share of big wins.
The Panthers have pulled off two huge series upsets to get them to this Eastern Conference Final. The Panthers allow the most shots amongst playoff teams, however, Carolina is still riddled with the injury bug.
It will be interesting to see if Carolina is able to continue to generate a high number of chances, despite their missing pieces. Florida will need to limit the Canes’ attack while also being able to create scoring chances of their own.
This is going to be an extremely exciting series.

Golden Knights vs Stars Series Preview
Clearly the Stars have what it takes to beat Vegas, as they’ve done so three times so far this season. However, two of those were in a shootout following overtime, so it goes without saying that Vegas has what it takes to beat Dallas as well.
The Golden Knights are played very good hockey and looked rock solid against Edmonton late in the series. They made defensive adjustments to slow down McDavid and Draisaitl and it totally worked. The goaltending was always going to be the Knight’s downfall, but it seems they can counter it by getting their bodies in front of the puck.
The Stars, coming off an emotional win at home against the Kraken, they have the star power to win the Stanley Cup. Roope Hintz is playing out of his mind, and with veterans Jamie Benn and Joe Pavelski carrying the team, the Stars could go as far as their goalie, Jake Oettinger, can take them
He was a bit shaky in a couple of those Kraken games, but if he finds his groove, this Stars team will be tough to get rid of.
Series Prediction
Stars in 7
