The Florida Panthers (36-15-4) put their five-game winning streak on the line when they host the Ottawa Senators (23-27-2) at 7 p.m. ET for one of eight NHL games lined up for Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The Senators were in action less than 24 hours ago, picking up a 4-2 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning as Mathieu Joseph scored twice — including the game-winning goal. The Panthers also beat the Lightning in their last outing, tallying a 9-2 victory on Saturday as three different Florida players recorded two-goal evenings.

These Atlantic Division clubs couldn’t have more different odds when it comes to winning a championship this season. As Florida currently owns the third-best 2023-24 Stanley Cup Final odds (+900) on BetOnline, Ottawa is much further down the list, tied for the third-worst odds at +25000.
Will the Senators improve their Stanley Cup odds with an upset win tonight? Or will the Panthers continue to build momentum? Let’s dive into this betting preview to discuss.

Senators vs Panthers Prediction & Pick (2/20): Can Florida Be Stopped?
Tonight’s showdown is the first meeting since the Senators and Panthers collided in October. That night, it was a one-sided affair at the Canadian Tire Centre as Florida walked out with the 5-0 victory, highlighted by Sam Reinhart’s two-goal performance.
The win was more of the same for the Panthers, who now have nine victories in their last 11 meetings with the Senators. A total of eight of those wins came by a multi-goal margin, too. If that isn’t impressive enough, Florida has also won three consecutive road games against Ottawa, outscoring its divisional rival 15-5 on aggregate.
There’s a good chance that trend continues tonight if the host team’s latest run is anything to go by. Not only have the Panthers won five consecutive games while outscoring those foes by an average of four goals, but they’re 9-1 SU in their last 10 outings overall. If anything, this run has established Florida as one of the best teams in the NHL.
The Panthers have been one of the NHL’s best teams over the last few weeks.
The Senators have also been playing well with a 5-2 SU record in their last seven outings, however, they did lose back-to-back games before Monday’s win over the Lightning. It’s also worth pointing out that Ottawa is 3-1 SU in the second half of back-to-back games this season.
Ottawa has seen its fair share of struggles away from home, too, but things have been changing for the better recently. The Senators have won four of their last five road games ahead of tonight’s game with three of those wins coming against divisional opponents. In fact, they’re 5-1 SU in their last six meetings with Atlantic Division clubs.
At the same time, the Panthers won three of their four previous home games, so it isn’t as if they’re struggling in their own backyard.
After Anton Forsberg started yesterday, Joonas Korpisalo is likely between the pipes for Ottawa tonight. The Finnish netminder has been inconsistent all year, which includes playing to a 3.24 goals-against average and .875 save percentage in his last six appearances.
Meanwhile, Panthers goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky has victories in each of his last six starts, racking up a 1.65 GAA and .946 SV% with a shutout during that stretch.
Senators G Joonas Korpisalo hasn’t lived up to the five-year, $20 million contract he signed over the summer.
Even though the Senators look better than they have for most of the season, I’m taking the Panthers to win. Florida has a history of having Ottawa’s number and already proved that with October’s blowout. The Panthers are likely feeling good about themselves after destroying the Lightning over the weekend, so I see them taking advantage of a Senators team that’s playing on very little rest.
Regarding the best bet, I’m taking the Panthers to cover the puck line. As previously mentioned, eight of the Panthers’ last nine wins against the Senators came by two or more goals, which includes each of the last three victories on home ice. Throw in the fact that Korpisalo is struggling to make consistent saves and it’s easy to like Florida’s odds of winning this game by a decent margin.

Best Senators vs Panthers NHL Player Prop (2/20)
If you’re in the market for a Senators vs. Panthers player prop, consider taking the Over on Shane Pinto’s 2.5-shot total.
[su_icon icon="icon: check-circle" background="#F4F7FC" color="#2FBB9C" text_color="#1F2933" size="16" shape_size="4" radius="256" text_size="14" url="" margin="0"] $10 Cash Bonus with code "BNEWS" [/su_icon]

Pinto has been terrific since returning from his suspension, recording nine points and 31 shots on goal across 11 games. When it comes to this prop, the former North Dakota product finished with three or more shots in six of his last nine outings as well as in four of the last six contests. Additionally, the Over is 2-1 in his last three road games.
Pinto has also collided with the Panthers three times in his young career, tallying the Over in both of the last two encounters. With Florida also allowing the 13th-most shots to centers over the last 10 games, this prop bet is looking juicy.
Best Senators vs Panthers Prop Bet: Shane Pinto 02.5 Shots on Goal (+146)
