As the English Premier League goes into its busy period before the World Cup, Week 12 has some tasty matchups to break down and bet on.
The October schedule has many teams playing 9-10 games in the month, between Premier League fixtures, Cup competitions, and European matches.
Squad depth will be tested and teams will move up or down the table quite a bit in the coming weeks.
Week 12 has some great matchups, so let’s dive in and find the value.
TOTTENHAM vs EVERTON
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 15th
12:30 PM EST Kickoff
Tottenham have looked good to start the season, sitting at 3rd in the table and their only loss coming to bitter rivals, Arsenal.
Manager Antonio Conte has them playing incredibly disciplined, defending in numbers and hitting teams on the counter attack with ferocious venom.
Harry Kane leads the line, with 8 goals in 9 games, second in the league behind the machine and probable Golden boot winner, Erling Haaland.
Spurs have looked strong defensively, with Eric Dier revitalizing his career in the center of Conte’s defense, conceeding only 10 goals, tied for second fewest.
On the other side, Everton have yet to really get going, only managing two wins from their first 9. They sit middle of the table and need to start collecting more points, so they don’t dip into the danger zone of sniffing relegation.
Frank Lampard was brought in to try and lift the squad and inspire the players but with little to show for it so far, there is a long way to go and his leash might get shorter and shorter if the results continue.
They have looked better as of late, winning two and then drawing two. Can they continue that form against a tough Spurs side?

MONEYLINE
- TOTTENHAM (-210)
- TIE (+340)
- EVERTON (+600)
SPREAD
- TOTTENHAM -1 (+145)
- EVERTON +1 (+170)
PREDICTION
As much as it pains me to say it (I am in fact a big Arsenal fan), Spurs should handle their business in this game.
They know they can’t afford to drop points, with Arsenal and Manchester City showing no signs of slowing down.
I find no value on the moneyline here so I am going to back Harry Kane to net another goal to continue his goalscoring form.
He is deadly from the penalty spot and I could see him having multiple chances to score in open play or bagging a pen.
BEST BET
HARRY KANE ATG (-110)
ARSENAL vs LEEDS
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16th
9 AM EST KICKOFF
Top of the league Arsenal travel to Elland Road to take on a Leeds team that started out on fire but have since cooled, losing or drawing their last 5.
Arsenal, on the other hand, have won four of their last 5, and gathered 2 massive wins against Spurs and Liverpool the past two league games.
Newcomer Gabriel Jesus has been simply outstanding to start the season, leading the line and being the talisman Mikel Arteta has longed for his entire tenure as Arsenal manager.
Jesus missed the midweek clash against FK Bodø/Glimt in Norway so it is worth monitoring if he plays on Sunday. But either way, Arsenal are favorites, for good reason, to get the win on the road.

MONEYLINE
- ARSENAL (-185)
- DRAW (+330)
- LEEDS (+500)
SPREAD
- ARSENAL -1 (+155)
- LEEDS +1 (+150)
PREDICTION
I love Arsenal to come out and continue to fly around the pitch and cause problems everywhere for Leeds. Their confidence is sky-high right now and they don’t look like slowing down any time soon.
That said, the money line is too juiced for me to take straight. If -185 is an ok number for you, I can’t argue with it. But for the value, betting on Saka to be involved in one of the Arsenal goals is a great play.
He is one of Arsenal’s brightest stars and is involved in everything they do offensively.
BEST BET
BUKAYO SAKA TO SCORE OR ASSIST (-130)
LIVERPOOL vs MAN CITY
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 16th
11:30 AM EST KICKOFF
The biggest fixture of the weekend feature the title winner and runner-up from last season.
Manchester City has looked their normal dominant selves to start the season, with only minor blips in the form of two draws.
Erling Haaland has come in and absolutely dominated, scoring 13 goals in his first 9 matches.
Liverpool, on the other hand, is struggling to start the season, sitting 10th with only 2 wins from their first 9 fixtures.
A mixture of injuries and just bad form have plagued Jurgen Klopp’s side and they need to right the ship quickly to salvage this season and compete for top 4 and the title.

MONEYLINE
- MAN CITY (-125)
- DRAW (+300)
- LIVERPOOL (+300)
SPREAD
- MAN CITY -1 (+210)
- LIVERPOOL +1 (+100)
PREDICTION
Even though this game is at Anfield in Liverpool, I don’t see Liverpool being able to deal with Manchester City’s firepower. They struggled with Arsenal’s attack this past weekend, and Manchester City do it on the same level, if not better.
For the value on the money line, give me City to get the job done and keep up their excellent form.
BEST BET
MANCHESTER CITY ML (-125)
