The Atlanta Dream have been one of the hottest teams in the WNBA over the last month, winning eight of their last ten games. But can they hold their own tonight in Brooklyn against the New York Liberty (7:00 pm ET, Amazon Prime Video)?
Consecutive losses to the Connecticut Sun last week cooled them down a bit, but the Dream (13-10, 7-4 away) got back on track with a 78-65 win over the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday.
Tonight brings a much tougher test as they go up against the Liberty (17-5, 9-3 home), who have won three in a row since opening the second half of the season with a surprising home loss against the Dallas Wings.
Who will take the win tonight at Barclays Center? Picks and a prediction for the matchup are below, but first, let’s take a look at Dream vs Liberty odds, courtesy of Bovada.

Will the Dream Have a Nightmare in New York?
On the surface, both the Liberty and Dream are both 8-2 in their last ten games.
But while New York is indisputably one of the best teams in the WNBA, what is Atlanta?
Atlanta does own road wins over the Sun and Liberty this season, which came in consecutive games in June. But in all of their toughest games since, the Dream have come out on the losing end, including last week’s two losses against the Sun.
At their best, Atlanta can hang with anyone in the league. That includes the Las Vegas Aces, who have been pummeling teams left and right this season but won by only five in Atlanta on June 2.
But not even managing a split against the Sun is disappointing, especially when they led late in the third quarter at Connecticut last Thursday before being outscored 25-12 over the final twelve and a half minutes of the game.
The Dream already own a win at the Barclays Center this season, an 86-79 win on June 13. But the Liberty were without Sabrina Ionescu in that game due to a left hamstring injury, and that disadvantage won’t be there tonight for New York.
Atlanta Dream vs New York Liberty Prediction and Picks
Prediction for Dream vs Liberty: Liberty to win
Picks for Dream vs Liberty: Liberty team total over 90.5 (-115) & Dream/Liberty over 173 (-110)
The road team came out on top in each of the first three meetings between these two teams this season, but that outcome will not play out again tonight. For all that the Dream have done in their 8-2 run, their performances against the Sun are off-putting. And though they were able to beat an Ionescu-less Liberty team in Brooklyn last month, it will be a much, much different story in this matchup.
The Liberty hit the century mark in their two wins at Atlanta, scoring 106 in a 23-point win on June 9 and 110 points in a 30-point rout on June 23, and it would not be a surprise to see them do it again, but this time at home.
