Sparks vs Fever Prediction & Picks (5/28): Fun Friday Repeat for the Fever?

Last Friday, Caitlin Clark came up clutch late to pick up her first professional win as the Indiana Fever edged the Los Angeles Sparks at Crypto.com Arena. Tonight, she will be looking to double that tally as the two teams face off again, this time at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis (7:00 pm ET, NBA TV).

In Friday’s matchup in Los Angeles, Clark hit two timely three-pointers down the stretch. The first gave the Fever a 72-66 lead with 2:27 left, and the second put Indiana ahead 76-71 with 40 seconds remaining in an eventual 78-73 win.

Clark is still trying to find her shot, but she isn’t the only reason why the Fever (1-6) are off to a slow start. Similarly, the new additions to L.A.’s roster aren’t the only reason why the Sparks (1-4) have only beaten winless Washington (0-6) thus far.

That said, while both teams are certainly where they are for a reason, they have played hard and should put on a good show tonight in Indianapolis.

Los Angeles Sparks vs Indiana Fever Betting Analysis

Last Friday’s game was decided in the final minute, and there’s a good chance that this one is as well.

Even in defeat, the Sparks should be able to keep it relatively close. They had a great chance to come away with a home win against the Dallas Wings on Sunday, but the points dried up after taking a 78-76 lead with four minutes left, and Dallas pulled out an 84-83 win.

The Fever are still trying to learn how to win, and I don’t see them being at a point where they can blow out even the lowly Sparks.

I think we’ll see a bit more scoring tonight than in Friday’s game, which was bogged down by a low-scoring third quarter. I’m not sure I see the over hitting, but I will have my eye on some live action there.
