After a disappointing loss in Dallas on Friday, the Las Vegas Aces have responded in the best way of possible, with two resounding wins. On the last day of WNBA action before Sunday’s All-Star Game, the champions will look for their third straight win and 11th in 12 games as they visit the Los Angeles Sparks (10:00 pm ET, CBS Sports Network).
After suffering only their second defeat of the season in Friday’s 80-78 loss to the Wings, the Aces (18-2, 7-1 away) have bounced back by beating the Minnesota Lynx by 24 on Sunday and the Phoenix Mercury by 26 last night.
The Sparks (7-12, 5-5), meanwhile, are not quite lighting it up at the moment, as they have lost five in a row.
Are we in for a blowout tonight at Crypto.com Arena? Before I offer up my prediction & picks for this matchup, let’s take a look at Aces vs Sparks odds.

Sputtering Sparks Set for Sixth Straight Setback
The Sparks haven’t won since a 93-83 victory over the Dallas Wings on June 25, and their slide is unlikely to come to an end tonight.
Sure, the loss in Dallas, which saw the Aces fall after leading by ten in the third quarter, showed that A’ja Wilson and co. are mortals, after all.
But as is often the case for teams of this caliber, a loss can be a galvanizing experience. Scoring a season-high 113 points against the Lynx and following it up with another 98 in their win over the Mercury show that the Aces clearly don’t like losing.
That’s bad, bad news for the Sparks, who are not at all equipped to keep pace with the prolific Aces.
In five of their first six games this season, the Sparks scored 80 or more points, including four 90-point games. But in 13 games since, they have scored 80 or more points only three times, including just once in seven home games.
The Aces, meanwhile, continue to overwhelm their opposition.
They were held to just a dozen points in the final quarter of their loss to the Wings, but scored 28, 26, 26, 33, 26, 26, and 32 over the next seven quarters before easing off of the gas with the win well in hand and scoring only 14 points in the fourth quarter of last night’s 98-72 win over Phoenix.
Try as she might, Nneka Ogwumike is only one person and can only do so much.
Ogwumike is fifth in the WNBA in scoring (19.8 PPG) and fourth in rebounding (9.5 RPG) and has ten double-doubles in 18 games, but with Lexie Brown out, Jordin Canada (13.2 PPG) is the Sparks’ only other double-figure scorer. By comparison, the Aces have four players who average at least 14.8 PPG.
Las Vegas Aces vs Los Angeles Sparks Prediction and Picks
Prediction for Aces vs Sparks: Aces to win
Picks for Aces vs Sparks: Aces -12.5 & Chelsea Gray over 6.5 assists
I don’t see anything than another convincing win for the Aces tonight. Even if the Sparks were playing better, it would still be a gargantuan task for them to pull off the upset. But given the trajectory of both of these teams at the moment, there’s only one result that I see.
Also, if you are into WNBA player props, there is one that sticks out for me in this matchup. Gray, who is averaging 6.6 assists per game (third in the WNBA), dished out seven and ten assists in two games against the Sparks earlier this season and has dropped 10 and 11 dimes in her last two games.
Where to Bet on the WNBA
The Aces vs Sparks betting odds mentioned in this article came from Bovada, but they aren’t the only sports betting site out there offering WNBA odds.
There are a number of online sportsbooks that are good for betting on the WNBA, but the above books are four that we highly recommend.
