The NCAA Division Football Bowl Subdivision, also known as FBS, is the top level of NCAA football. Any picks on this page are from games involving FBS teams.
This season, there are 134 FBS teams, with Kennesaw State the latest addition to the FBS ranks.
The 2024 FBS season began on August 24, and it will end on January 20, 2025, when the College Football National Championship takes place at Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

- December 31 & January 1, 2025: College Football Playoff quarterfinal games take place (Fiesta Bowl, Peach Bowl, Rose Bowl, Sugar Bowl)
- January 9 & 10, 2025: College Football Playoff semifinal games take place (Orange Bowl & Cotton Bowl)
- January 20, 2025: College Football Playoff National Championship
Types of College Football Picks
There are many types of college football picks, but the three kinds of picks you will find on this page are moneyline picks, point spread picks, and total (also known as over/under) picks.
Moneyline and Point Spread Picks
Moneylines and point spreads, which are also known as sides, both involve betting on the outcome of a game.
With moneyline betting, the outcome of the picks here will be determined by who wins and who loses outright.
With point spread betting, the outcome of the picks here will be determined by a specific outcome.
For example, if the spread for the Week 1 matchup between Clemson and Georgia is Georgia -14 and 80% of our listed picks favor Georgia to cover the spread, that means that most of our sources favor the Bulldogs to win by 15 or more points.

Total (a.k.a. Over/Under) Picks
If you are checking out the total picks on this page, those picks do not directly involve the outcome of the game in the same way as moneyline and spread picks.
When it comes to the total, also known as the over/under, the outcome of those picks is down to how many points are scored between the two teams.
If the higher percentage of the listed picks favor the over, that means that the two teams are projected to score more points than the listed total.
If the higher percentage of the listed picks favor the under, that means that the two teams are projected to score fewer points than the listed total.
For example, if the total for the Week 1 matchup between USC and LSU is 63.5 and 75% of our listed picks favor the over, that means that most of our sources project USC and LSU to combine for 64 or more points.
